VEGAN PROBLEMS

from one vegan to another

thechildrenofalessergod asked: Hey, Just for that anon. If you live in Australia or New Zealand there is this great brand called Organic Care and it's completely Vegan, Even the bottle is made from plants :) it's really nice.

that sounds awesome!!!

Anonymous asked: whats a good vegan shampoo brand ?

I use costco brand (kirkland) because it’s vegan and cheap to buy in bulk!

sweater-grrrl asked: To answer the question about the glycerine in Lush products, Lush is 100 percent vegetarian and mostly vegan. They use vegetable glycerine.

baronvonblitz asked: Just throwing out there, NYX eyeshadows/powders are vegan and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is 100% vegan.

ilickstars asked: Hey just wanted to point out that a lot of LUSH skincare products have glycerine in them, which is derived from animal fat. Does anybody know if it is vegetable glycerine, which is of course vegan friendly, or animal glycerine? Second, are there are any other companies you would recommend? Thanks! :)

Lush has a vegan seal on most of their products so you can tell what’s vegan and what isn’t. For shampoo and conditioner I use costco brand which says vegan on the bottle and I like the way it smells, plus it comes in bulk and is cheap! I don’t wear makeup but if you do urban decay has vegan products, I know. I know wholefoods sells organic vegan soaps. If there’s a particular product you need just do google search for a vegan version!

happy halloween to all my fellow vegans!

happy halloween to all my fellow vegans!

tendencytoexist asked: I find a lot of people get defensive about veganism because they are confronted with things they don't want to think about, and experience a cognitive dissonance. Which they deal with by amping of their justification of their lifestyles rather than accepting that a vegan may be better- because it's too hard for them to change. People deal with things in strange ways, just know you're doing an amazing thing and ignore them :) a lot of people have a lot of respect for you!

Thank you so much, this really made my day.

Anonymous asked: What's a good skin care brand?

Lush cosmetics. anything and everything from them (with a vegan seal)

littleselfia asked: I can never understand why close friends chose to be assholes when it comes to someone's veganism. It's never their place to judge a kind of thought out and planned lifestyle. If you converted to a religion or chose to change your sexual preferences or was trying to identify with a gender identity they would be completely out of line to say anything openly negative. It's seriously not their place and no one deserves that kind of thing from friends!

Yeah it’s quite ridiculous. On my personal blog I got an anon message from someone I knew had to be a friend from real life due to some information they said in it but basically they called me a crazy psycho and said that no one cares about my eating habits and some other rude things that aren’t really relevant to my vegan lifestyle. It’s most likely the same friend or one of the same friends who is known to reblog my vegan posts and say rude things. I just hate my old friends. I’m glad to be here in college with new people. I don’t understand why I can’t post whatever I want to my own blog without even my friends just ignoring it and continuing on with their lives. Does my being a vegan really upset you so much? sigh.
